Scenario
In the midst of an international crisis, career diplomat Kate Wyler lands in a high-level job she’s not suited for, which has tectonic effects on her marriage and political future. Producers convinced both the American and British governments to allow them to use real-life locations as filming locations for the series, including the fledgling American Embassy (in Nine Elms), which opened in 2018. Britain allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, a rare honor for film or television productions, especially American ones.

The only unavailable location was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador. Although the series is accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot (11 acres) in London next to Buckingham Palace, producers used a country house outside the city for filming.. I watched The Night Agent in one sitting and thought it couldn’t get much better, but I was wrong.
So intellectual and fascinating
I loved every second of this show. Everything you could want in a show. The characters and acting were top notch.
She played it perfectly
It was so great to see the wonderful Rufus Sewell again and what a role he played, not knowing what he was going to do next. Keri Russell was just brilliant as the ambassador. David Gyasi was great too.
The best political show since The West Wing
All in all a wonderful show, maybe a little short but well worth watching. Excellent!
