It tells the story of three very different families competing to buy the same 1920s Spanish-style mansion that they believe will solve all their problems. Denis Leary and Ray Romano appeared in the Ice Age series (2002–present). I was surprised the series was rated so poorly, but it made more sense when I saw many reviews explaining that they didn’t make it past the first episode. The show is a long-winded mystery romp that may not be for everyone. Personally, I found it funny and entertaining with a specific Liz Feldman tone that I like. I really like the cast and everyone’s performances. Due to my own biases, I wasn’t sold on Ray Romano at first (I couldn’t separate him from “Everybody Loves Raymond” for the life of me), but that evaporated pretty quickly. All of the various characters have their own subplots that create a tangled web of chaos that gradually, if not completely, unravels. By the last episode, I was pretty engrossed in the story, even though I figured out the main twist very early on. Still, I’m not mad about it. I’d love to see more of this series and I really hope there’s a second season. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here are a whole bunch of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
